Originaly a ‘Moore& wright’ high carbon steel metal scraper…

It now accepts high speed steel pieces from a parting off blade…

Shank had to be; removed, annealed and then machined (M4)…

The base unit already had a superb height adjustment mechanism…

The lower platter can turn independently of the the top one, be removed or be used as a rest…

Simple, inexpensive, permanent & unobtrusive…

3m x 160mm o/d aluminium van tube (3″ fall over length to let water out)…

Bosch PTL1; 2kw, 2.4l capacity = 45 mins, 3m hose.

Hose fitting is 14mm circumference plus the bayonet (push fit only as added saftey).

Machined brass fitting from propane bottle valve (3/4 bspt, 14mm bore).

End cap is left loose (hinged at top) to allow steam egress.

Brackets were made made from old aluminium cafe chairs left on the street
